PYE TVT Ltd was first established in 1960 as an independent group for developing and manufacturing sound and broadcast equipment used in studios, transmitting stations, CCTV, and outside broadcast vehicles. It was absorbed by Phillips Electronics in 1971 and continued to operate until the studio division closed in 1986. Some of the equipment built during this time was state of the art which included audio amplifiers, pre-amplifier modules, audio mixing and switching units, compression amplifiers and many more products for the processing and transmission of audio signals.
Today, PYE® Audio will continue in the design and manufacture of studio recording equipment where it left off in the mid to late 1970’s.
